Calez aka “Ceito Da Spirit Coach” is someone who is a unique and distinct in character amongst his community and environment. From finding his first love music in temporary shelter housing and presenting work to family members. To creating music in section 8 home years later that would jump start a music career for himself. Calez introduced himself to the industry through music blogs in 2012 with debut mixtape "Kid With Raps” as a part of former crew 2008ighties/Brkf$t Club whom attracted attention of Complex, 2dopeboyz, and XXL that would eventually land him notoriety in hometown Chicago’s publications The Reader, and Redeye. He then released "Too Broke Tape" in 2013, later his self-titled moniker "Ceito" mixtape in 2014, attracting a loyal following and part in cover story in Chicago Sun-Times “Fresh faces of Chicago.” Calez has memorable verses with Chance The Rapper, Mick Jenkins and more. His music influenced by spirituality, upbringing, and life lessons have been performed through popular regional festivals like SXSW, NXNE, CMJ, and A3C. Calez spent 2015-2016 era creating mixtape “BABY” which made Lyrical Lemonade’s “Top 50 projects of Chicago,” and producing music for other well known Chicago artist. 2018 he released "Poppa EP" which featured single "Cool” with Mick Jenkins & Alex Wiley. 2022 we have yet to receive a LP from Calez but he has released a series of singles since 2019. Calez has reintroduced himself to his audience as “Ceito Da Spirit Coach” through live video streaming and even blending spiritual music together in latest single, "Spiritual Heaven" produced by Holly. This new endeavor connects Calez further with link-minded individuals that not only connect with him musically but through astrology, spiritual, health + wellness.
